Some Backround Information about our Briards
We are currently at our home in Florida. We have a little over two and a half acres with trails going through the woods and a nice big front yard for the puppies to run and play in safely.
Our home in western Maine is on twelve acres of land with streams and trails through the woods for our Briards and ourselves to enjoy.
We started our breeding program on the insistence of our very well established veterinarian (if this was something we wanted to do), after his first time examining our female Sheila at the age of two. Previously, we had been taking her to one of his clinics in the lakes region. Of course, as a new Briard going into his hospital for a check-up, he insisted on seeing her, as we had moved to the town where the hospital is located. He asked if we planned on breeding her and at the time, we had not given too much thought about it but it had always been in the back of our minds. He told us of a breeder who had a wonderful champion stud and we would have to get some test and x-rays done. Sheila turned out to be OFA excellent. Then the match was made and our breeding program began.
Our breeding has excelled as world class companions, therapy dogs and in the show ring. We just had the first Briard EVER to compete and place in a DVG National Event. He is also the only Briard in the U.S. to obtain the title VPG 1, 11, and 111 in the Schultzhund sport. Also PB...who is the 6th Briard ever to achieve the RAE title. Both of these males parents are Marquis Rorro and Ornette Angela.
The breeding has definitely been Love Puppies as the daddy and the females are on the property and are all very much in love. We find that love puppies are much better adjusted and it leads to better temperaments and health. The mother really wants the puppies and it is not just a chore. They will have wonderful socialization with the other dogs as they love playing with puppies.
We love the Briard so much that we breed so others can enjoy the Briard experience. Our Briards are world class family companions bred for easier care coat, great health, wonderful temperament and looks. All of our dogs are given fresh mountain spring water and the very best nutrition. They are raised in home, under foot, and are allowed to play outside, weather permitting.
We do breed for "show" conformation too, but we are more interested in family homes for our puppies. They are very well socialized and pretty well potty trained. They all will be familiar with their names, animals, car rides and what not to bite.
We are nice people too and we are here to help. We are careful to find the right homes for our beloved puppies and would love to assist you in making the decision if a Briard is right for your family. That includes after the sale help. We are always happy to talk about Briards. We do ship to anywhere in the United States and Canada.
